										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class='et-dropcap'>W</span>Pvivid for MainWP extension is a free WordPress plugin that allows you to manage WPvivid plugins for your child sites via MainWP dashboard.</p>
<p>Like all other MainWP extensions, WPvivid for MainWP extension works on top of that the WPvivid plugins is installed on child sites. Therefore it follows a two-step installation process</p>
<p>First install the WPvivid for MainWP extension on your <strong>dashboard site</strong>(main site)</p>
<p>Then <a href="https://docs.wpvivid.com/use-wpvivid-mainwp-extension-with-backup-migration-pro.html">install the WPvivid Backup Plugins <strong>on child sites</strong></a>.</p>
<p>The installation process of the plugin is the same as any other WordPress plugins.</p>
<p>1. Log in to your MainWP dashboard site.</p>
<p>2. Go to <em>Plugins</em>, click <em>Add New</em>.</p>
<p>3.  In the search bar type in <em>WPvivid or WPvivid Backup for MainWP</em>.</p>

<h2><strong>Install WPvivid Backup &amp; Migration Free</strong></h2>
<p>1. Go to your <em>MainWP Dashboard &gt; Plugins &gt; Install Plugins</em></p>

<p>2. In the Search form, enter “WPvivid or WPvivid Backup Plugin” and select the plugin.</p>
<p>3. Select the child sites where you wish to install the plugin.</p>
<p>4. Enable <em>activate plugin after installation</em> and <em>Overwrite existing version</em>(recommended) option then click on the <em>Complete Installation.</em></p>
<p><strong>Note: </strong>Make sure you will hit the “<em>Sync Dashboard with Child Sites</em>” button on your MainWP dashboard if you have <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpvivid-backuprestore/">WPvivid Backup Plugin</a>  or WPvivid Backup Pro installed previously on the child site or whenever you make any changes to a child site, for example, install/deinstall, activate/deactivate WPvivid Backup Plugin.</p>
<p>Now,  WPvivid Backup Plugin should be installed and activated on your child sites.</p>
<h2><strong>Create Backups </strong><strong>Manually </strong><strong>for Child Sites</strong></h2>

<p>To create a manual backup for a child site, go to WPvivid Backup Dashboard and click <em>Backup Now</em> of the child site.</p>
<p>On the page that opens, select the backup type: Database + Files(the entire site), WordPress files only, or database only.</p>
<p>Select backup location: Localhost(web server) of the child site, or cloud storage.</p>
<p>Once done, click <em>Backup Now</em> button to start backing up the child site.</p>

<h2><strong>Set up Backup Schedules for Child Sites</strong></h2>
<p>To set up backup schedules for child sites, go to the Schedule tab, check the option: Enable backup schedule.</p>

<p>Next, choose the backup cycle:</p>
<ul>
<li>Every 12 hours</li>
<li>Daily</li>
<li>Weekly</li>
<li>Fortnightly</li>
<li>Monthly</li>
</ul>
<p>Once done, select what to back up – the entire site(all files + database), database only or files only.</p>
<p>Then choose where you want to store the backups.</p>
<ul>
<li>Store them on localhost of child site(web server).</li>
<li>Remotely store them to FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3, DigitalOcean Spaces. Note that when you choose this option, the local backup will be deleted after uploading to remote storage completely.</li>
</ul>
<p>Once done, click the <em>Save Changes </em>button at the bottom of the page.</p>
<p>Lastly, select the child sites you want to sync the backup schedule to and click Select site and start saving settings button to start the process.</p>

<p>To configure WPvivid plugin settings for child sites, go to the Settings tab and edit General settings and Advanced settings,</p>

<p>Once you are done with the settings, click the <em>Save Changes and Sync</em> button at the bottom of the page.</p>
<p>On the page that opens, select the child sites you want to the settings to take effect and save the changes. Before you create and sync schedules to child sites.</p>

<h2><strong>Configure Settings Status for A Child Site</strong></h2>
<p>To sync the global configurations, namely, backup schedules and plugin settings to the site, you should always make sure that the Settings status of the sites is set to ‘General’.</p>

<p>There are two different settings type:</p>
<p><strong>General:</strong> Only when a child site is set to General, you are able to sync the global configurations, namely, backup schedules and plugin settings to the site, or the site will not show up in the child site list when you choose to sync a global configurations to all your child sites.</p>
<p><strong>Individual:</strong> When you see a child site’s settings status is Individual. It stands for that the site is using it’s own backup schedules, plugin settings and remote storage.</p>
<h4><strong>How to Configure Settings Status for A Child Site?</strong></h4>
<p>From your MainWP Dashboard &gt; <em>Manage Sites</em> on the left-side bar &gt; Click on the site to open the site overview &gt; WPvivid Backups tab.</p>

<p>On the top of the page, switch off/on the <strong>Override Settings</strong> option for the child sites and click the <em>Save</em> button, then click on the <em>Sync Dashboard with Child Sites </em>button on the page.</p>

<p>Switching <strong>off</strong> the Override Settings option will set the site’s settings status to General.</p>
<p>Switching <strong>on</strong> the Override Settings option will set the site’s settings status to Individual.</p>

<h2><strong>Install WPvivid for MainWP Extension</strong></h2>
<p>Please follow this step-by-step guide to <a href="https://docs.wpvivid.com/install-wpvivid-mainwp-extension.html">install WPvivid for MainWP extension on your MainWP dashboard site</a>.</p>
<h2><strong>Install WPvivid Backup Pro</strong></h2>
<p>As of version 0.9.7, the extension offers the option to install, claim and update WPvivid Backup Pro for child site in bulk.</p>
<p><strong>Note: </strong>The <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpvivid-backup-mainwp/">WPvivid for MainWP extension</a> currently does not support installing and claiming WPvivid Pro for WordPress Multisite. Please install and activate the plugins manually on the Network Admin.</p>
<p>To do that, you need to log in to your WPvivid Backup Pro account on the extension first.</p>
<p>1. On your <em>MainWP Dashboard &gt; Extensions &gt; WPvivid Backup for MainWP &gt; on the Login page, enter your father license</em>(that can be found on My Account area &gt; License at wpvivid.com), click <em>Login.</em></p>

<p>2. Once logged in, you will be redirected to the extension dashboard, on the dashboard, Choose Install &amp; Claim WPvivid Backup Pro 2.0 from the dropdown menu and select the child sites where you wish to install the plugin.</p>

<p>To create a manual backup for a child site, go to WPvivid Backup Dashboard, click Backup Now.</p>
<p>On the page that opens, you are able to choose the backup location, backup content, and comment the backup.</p>
<p>Once you are done with the settings, Click <em>Backup Now</em> to start backing up.</p>

<h2><strong>Set up Backup Schedules</strong></h2>
<p>To set up backup schedules for child sites, go to the schedule tab, click the Schedules(general schedules) or Incremental Backup Schedules to switch between the pages.</p>
<p>To create a backup schedule, you need to go through the following settings:</p>
<p>1.Enter a name for the backup schedule for easier identification when you have multiple backup schedules,</p>
<p>2. Set backup cycle, start time, and timezone.</p>
<p>3. Select backup content: Database + Files(WordPress Files), WordPress Files, Database, Custom</p>

<p>Once created, the schedule will show up in the schedule lists where you can edit, delete or sync the schedule.</p>
<p>Click <em>Sync</em> button of a schedule to start sync the schedule to child sites.</p>

<h2><strong>Configure Remote Storage</strong></h2>
<p>To configure remote storage for child sites, go to the Remote tab, choose the remote storage you want to add for your child sites.</p>

<li>DigitalOcean Spaces</li>
<li>Wasabi</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Note: </strong>The global configuration is not available for GoogleDrive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive due to authorization mechanism, you can get authorization in child sites.</p>
<p>To connect cloud storage, go to the storage tab and enter the credentials then click <em>Save and Sync</em> button.</p>

<p>Once you’ve successfully added the remote storage, it will appears in the list of storage. From the list you can edit the remote storage credentials, remove the remote storage from the list and sync a remote storage to child sites.</p>

<p>To sync a remote storage, click Sync button of the storage. On the page that opens, check the child sites that you want to add the remote storage to. You can also enter a custom folder name for each child site so that you can store each site’s backups in their custom folder in the remote storage.</p>

<p>To configure WPvivid Settings for child sites, go to the Settings tab, edit the General settings, <a href="https://wpvivid.com/advanced-settings">Advanced settings</a>, Staging settings  for your child sites:</p>

<p>Once you are done with the settings, click the <em>Save Changes and Sync</em> button at the bottom of the page.</p>
<p>On the page that opens, select the child sites you want to the settings to take effect and save the changes. Before you create and sync schedules to child sites, <strong>make sure that the settings status of the sites is set to ‘General’ </strong>as mentioned in WPvivid Dashboard earlier.</p>

<p>Once logged in, you will be redirected to the extension dashboard, on the dashboard, Choose Install &amp; Claim WPvivid Backup Pro 2.0 from the dropdown menu and select the child sites where you wish to install the plugin.</p>
<h2><strong>Hide WPvivid Plugin Pages</strong></h2>
<p>To hide WPvivid plugin modules on child sites, go to the Modules page, select WPvivid plugin pages you want to hide on child sites.</p>
<p>Click Save Changes and Sync button to save your changes to child sites.</p>

<p><strong>Note:</strong> To reset white label option from a child site, you will need to reinstall WPvivid Backup Pro plugin on the site.</p>

<p>Once you&#8217;ve successfully added the remote storage, it will appears in the list of storage. From the list you can edit the remote storage credentials, remove the remote storage from the list and sync a remote storage to child sites.</p>

<p>The login page allows you to login to your WPvivid Backup Pro account. Once logged in, you can install , claim, and update WPvivid Backup Pro 2.0 on child sites in bulk from MainWP dashboard.</p>

<p>To log in, enter your father license, you can be found on My Account area &gt; License at wpvivid.com, then click <em>Login </em>button<em>.</em></p>
<p>Once logged in, you will be redirected to the extension dashboard, on the dashboard, Choose Install &amp; Claim WPvivid Backup Pro 2.0 from the dropdown menu and select the child sites where you wish to install the plugin.</p>
<h2><strong>Modules </strong><strong>(pro users only)</strong></h2>
<p>From the Modules page, you can select and hide specific WPvivid Backup Pro plugin modules on child sites, including Export &amp; Import, Settings, Debug, Tools, License modules.</p>
<p>Click Save Changes and Sync button to save your changes to child sites.</p>
